Precise technology is required to extract vapours, as the particles are usually only between 0.0001 and 0.01 µm in size – which is about 1,000 times the size of a dust grain. To efficiently filter these tiny particles out of the air, we use highly specialised activated carbon filters from WATRON. These particularly fine filters ensure effective removal of vapours, thus contributing to improved air quality and a healthy working environment.

In numerous industries, including the automotive industry, laboratories and metal processing, harmful vapours such as solvent and combustion vapours are produced during material processing. These significantly impair the air quality and endanger the health of the people present. Therefore, the effective extraction of these substances is crucial to filter toxic particles from the air. Only in this way can respiratory and eye irritation, as well as serious health consequences, be avoided, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
Activated carbon filter for extracting vapours
Since vapours can easily spread in the air, particularly fine filters are needed to trap them again. With high-quality activated carbon filters, we can extract vapours by capturing them in the ultra-fine pores. Due to these many pores, activated carbon has a particularly large total surface area where vapours can be held. Our WATRON WA extraction series includes a 10 kg activated carbon filter that has a total surface area of about 5,000 football pitches.
To ensure that the activated carbon filter is not affected by dust deposits, it is usually combined with a reliable pre-filter system. This makes it possible to extract the dust in the air and protect the carbon filter.
